AKP Spokesperson Çelik: Netanyahu is committing genocide in Gaza

The highlights from Çelik's statements are as follows:

Criticisms, concerns on various issues, and grievances are all being systematically converted into data sets. In the coming period, our colleagues will carry out their work and efforts to ensure these form a solid foundation for guiding our policies. Our President expressed that, in order to reach our goals for a Turkey free of terrorism, the sensitivity shown must be kept at the maximum level; that this high level of sensitivity regarding both a terror-free Turkey and a terror-free region must be maintained by all our colleagues; and that all our units must fulfill their duties completely and further improve their performance in line with the goal of a terror-free Turkey.

Regarding the reform agenda mentioned by our President at the meeting with our deputies today, you know there was a framework announced by our President at our grand congress. Our party has completed its work on that. We have a well-prepared political package regarding the improvement of various areas, overcoming obstacles and bottlenecks, and reforming and updating policies to reach the goals of the Century of Turkey.

In the coming period, we will begin to bring the first steps of this to the agenda and include it in our political schedule. Of course, the message given by our Chairman and President regarding a new constitution is also clear. This is a debt that all of us, all politicians, and all statesmen owe to future generations. Therefore, our party continues its work to ensure this is fulfilled with sensitivity. As you know, we have a committee for this. This committee has reached the stage of completing our political stance on the new constitution through regular meetings.

Yesterday marked the anniversary of October 7, the day the Netanyahu network—which has committed one of the most significant massacres in human history—began these actions, and this network of massacres brought this genocide before humanity as the most painful bill in human history. Once again, we congratulate and express our gratitude to all our citizens and all non-governmental organizations who took to the streets in Istanbul and various other provinces on the 5th as part of the Alliance of Humanity and stood against this genocide on behalf of the Alliance of Humanity.

WE CONDEMN ISRAEL'S BARBARISM

Similarly, our women's branches also created an awareness campaign to generate strong consciousness. We would like to express that this activity, carried out by our women's branches with such broad participation and effectiveness, is extremely valuable, especially as a message from mothers. We thank them. Regarding the Sumud flotilla, our citizens who were unlawfully detained by Israel have been brought to our country. The treatment they faced is a crime under international law.

And this has once again been recorded as an indicator of the Netanyahu government's barbarism and lawlessness. It has been seen once again that they know nothing but bullying, barbarism, and massacre in every field, and that they are trying to impose this agenda on all of humanity. This flotilla, which included our own citizens from various nations of the world, is a will that emerged to protect humanitarian values and human dignity against this inhumane treatment that imposes starvation on Gaza as a form of genocide. At the end of the day, even if they were physically blocked, they carried out an action that achieved its purpose by making Gaza's message heard by the whole world and spreading it from the Mediterranean to the entire world. Now, in a similar way, a similar act of Israeli barbarism was carried out against the freedom flotilla, which continues on its path saying, 'As part of the Alliance of Humanity, we will never stop extending our hand to the children, women, and the deprived in Gaza.' Israel, with its usual barbarism, has kidnapped and is detaining our valuable deputies who are members of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, our citizens, and valuable activists who came from various parts of the world. We condemn this once again in the strongest terms from the AK Party Headquarters. This is once again a declaration of lawlessness. It is once again a declaration of the Netanyahu Government's hostility toward everything that is humane and civilized. They must immediately release our deputies, our citizens, and all members of the Alliance of Humanity who were on that flotilla.

All of these crimes they have committed will eventually be held to account. By unjustly and unlawfully applying violence, and by condemning the activists they have arrested and detained to hunger and poor conditions, they are once again demonstrating their inhumane character.

The accounts given by the members of the Sumud Flotilla have once again shown that what is presented by some as 'Israel's security' is, in fact, an approach hostile to all human values. Therefore, they must be released immediately; all these unlawful acts are being recorded, and at the end of the day, all our institutions, under the instructions of our President, are demonstrating the necessary will to ensure the release of our deputies, citizens, and activists from other countries. As was the case with the Sumud Flotilla, the plane we sent brought activists of many nationalities to Turkey, from where they returned to their home countries. Now, we will once again stand by them in the strongest possible way. Of course, as seen at the United Nations meeting, standing with Israel or uttering a sentence in support of Israel is now a source of shame for anyone who does so. Some countries, under the guise of solidarity with Israel on the anniversary of October 7th yesterday, unfortunately displayed an approach that shows how weak they are in terms of sensitivity toward history and humanity, having learned no lessons from history.

All of these are, in fact, notes left in history as signatures supporting the genocide process. However, it is a great source of joy that the number of states recognizing the State of Palestine—in line with the call our President has been making for months and years—and expressing that the State of Palestine must exist as an independent, free, and sovereign entity with East Jerusalem as its capital and with territorial integrity, is increasing. This has reached a point of steady growth. We believe this will be carried even further. As you know, there is a meeting in Egypt today. They are working on a roadmap for the process of achieving a ceasefire within the framework of President Trump's plan, and subsequently transitioning to a lasting peace. Turkey is also at that meeting. We would like to express that Hamas's peace-oriented response, which has a highly strong and sophisticated diplomatic dimension, has been commendable since the moment this plan emerged. Within the framework of the initiative launched by President Trump to achieve a ceasefire and peace, Hamas has published a well-staged, well-constructed, and carefully crafted response, expressing that it is in favor of peace, a ceasefire, and diplomacy, and that this genocide and massacre must end, as well as these conflicts.
