AKP Spokesperson Çelik's 'political incompetence' outburst

AKP Spokesperson Çelik reacted to the statements made by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel via his social media account.

"Due to the earthquakes occurring in our Istanbul, our only agenda is to stand by our citizens. Our President is personally leading every stage of the management of this process," Çelik said, continuing as follows:

"BOTH A POLITICAL LIE AND POLITICAL INCOMPETENCE"

"Within this agenda, we have tried not to include the rhetoric of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, which poisons our political and social life, in our agenda. However, the point Özgür Özel has reached in his politics of lies has made it necessary to give him the response he deserves.

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has been unable to answer any of the allegations that have come to the agenda regarding his own administration and his party concerning judicial processes. Instead, he constantly constructs sentences of slander directed at our President.

Attempting to link our President to judicial processes is a political smear campaign by Özgür Özel. For Özgür Özel to claim that our President received authorization from the head of state of another country is both a political lie and a sign of political incompetence. Yet, everyone is a witness that the person who constantly requests support from external sources in his political rhetoric is Özgür Özel."

Emphasizing that every statement by Özgür Özel repeatedly demonstrates his ignorance regarding Turkey's fundamental issues and political history, Çelik stated, "For Özgür Özel to question our President's sensitivity regarding the Turkish Cypriot cause and the TRNC is nothing but political ignorance. Both our nation and the international community know our President's sensitivity regarding the Turkish Cypriot cause and the TRNC very well.

For Özgür Özel to attempt to question our President's sensitivity regarding the Gaza and Palestine cause is the pinnacle of political ignorance. While prayers are offered and greetings are sent to our President in Gaza and all of Palestine, there is not a single person who takes Özgür Özel's sentences seriously. Özgür Özel is turning the CHP into an anti-politics campaign party. This is the most fundamental problem for the CHP," he assessed.
