AKP suffers defection in Imralı vote in committee: Chose not to participate

The National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Committee, established in the TBMM regarding the resolution process, met to determine whether a delegation should be sent to Imralı to meet with PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan. 

In the vote held, the committee decided to go to Imralı with the "yes" votes of the AKP, MHP, DEM Party, as well as TİP and EMEP representatives. It was noted that Kürşad Zorlu, who moved from the IYI Party to the AKP, did not participate in the vote.

The TBMM National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Committee convened for the 'Imralı visit' vote. The 'Imralı visit' vote was held during the committee meeting, which lasted approximately 2.5 hours.

In the vote, which the CHP and the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) did not attend, the AKP, MHP, DEM Party, TİP, and EMEP voted "yes," while the DSP, HÜDA-PAR, and the Democrat Party voted "no." The New Path Group (Yeni Yol Grubu) abstained. The vote resulted in 32 "yes" and 3 "no" votes, with 2 members abstaining. Thus, the committee decided to go to Imralı. The committee meeting concluded following the vote.

On the other hand, it was noted that among the 22 AKP committee members, only Kürşad Zorlu, who joined the AKP after resigning from the IYI Party, did not participate in the vote.
