Following the decision of the IYI Party to enter the March 31 local elections "free and independent," the poor results obtained by the party cost former IYI Party Chair Meral Akşener her seat.

Akşener, who had fallen into a long silence, subsequently visited the Palace, and IYI Party founder Koray Aydın had criticized Akşener with harsh words.

It was recently revealed that Akşener has filed a lawsuit against Aydın.

Those who follow Veryansın TV will have seen our news from July 4, 'Meral Akşener filed a lawsuit against Koray Aydın'.

Those who didn't know are learning now.

When I learned from courthouse sources that such a lawsuit existed, I tried to access the file. I had been able to learn some of the details, but I couldn't reach the file itself.

They told me that the 50,000 TL non-pecuniary damages lawsuit petition filed by Meral Akşener against Koray Aydın contained very serious accusations against Koray Aydın.

All I could learn was that it was a lawsuit against 3 separate posts made by Koray Aydın after Akşener's meeting with Erdoğan.

I finally found the file.

Believe me, I was shocked when I read it.

Let me put it this way…

As someone who has criticized Meral Akşener and the activities of the IYI Party most harshly for years and who has followed the issues within the party more or less, this is the first time I have seen Akşener like this.

Beyond burning the bridges, she is not making claims that can be easily swallowed against those who say harsh words to her!

I don't know if she will sue me too after writing this, but I wouldn't be surprised if she writes a petition similar to the one she filed against Koray Aydın!

After this article, I will call all the parties involved and ask about the allegations.

But first, I am sharing them with you…

The lawsuit petition submitted to the court is signed by Meral Akşener's lawyer, Abdullah Ören.

In the petition, Akşener is very focused on two sentences from Koray Aydın's statements:

One is 'cozying up to the Palace or making a deal with the government'…

The other is, 'behavior that will bring the party's face to the ground'…

She attacks Koray Aydın in her petition over these two sentences.

She states that the 3 separate statements made by Koray Aydın on June 6, 13, and 27, 2024, constitute an attack on personal rights.

Akşener first clarifies her meeting with Erdoğan.

She says, "The legal process or file of Mübariz Mansimov or any other businessman was never discussed in the meeting with Erdoğan," and states that it is not true to portray her as a lobbyist.

She even says that they have filed a criminal complaint against Fatih Altaylı, who made the allegation regarding this issue.

The other issue is her son, Fatih Akşener…

Akşener states that she did not request any position or office for her son Fatih or anyone else, and that the issue of constitutional amendment was not on the agenda at all during the meeting.

She emphasizes that those who make heavy accusations against her for meeting with Erdoğan never attacked CHP leader Özgür Özel in this way…

… and the really heavy accusations start after this.

Now let's go back to the 6-party table process before the election.

Many allegations were made after Akşener left the table.

One of them was the allegations of Halk TV economy writer Serpil Yılmaz.

Serpil Yılmaz had claimed that Koray Aydın had recently held a private meeting with businessmen known as the 'Gang of Five'. Regarding Akşener's departure from the table, she commented, "I don't think this is an issue that emerged suddenly," and said that these company executives had been in contact with the IYI Party for some time.

Serpil Yılmaz even stated that she could give the address of the building and the apartment where the meeting took place, and that there were witnesses to the meeting.

After this allegation, Koray Aydın made a very harsh denial statement and said, "The allegations that I met with a representative of the 'Gang of Five', which were served by dark circles to smear me and the IYI Party, are a vile slander and are untrue. Those who make and spread this slander will be held accountable before the law."

While making this denial, Koray Aydın had leaned on Akşener, stating that the person who first coined this 'Gang of Five' concept was her, the brave leader.

(I reached out to Serpil Yılmaz regarding the subject. I asked her if Koray Aydın had filed a lawsuit. She said there was no lawsuit whatsoever.)

FIRST ACCUSATION

After this reminder, let's come to the petition…

Yes! Akşener openly denies this denial by Koray Aydın and gives the exact address of where the meeting took place.

And she says:

"In March 2022, Koray Aydın held a meeting and had lunch with businessmen known in society as the 'five big contractors' at the address Nene Hatun Caddesi No:53 Çankaya Ankara (this address belongs to Cengiz Holding). Our client only learned about this meeting after the incident was reflected in the press. The defendant Koray Aydın did not inform our client before the lunch, nor did he provide any information on this matter afterwards."

SECOND ACCUSATION

Akşener's lawyer continues:

"For our client to do something that party members would be ashamed of; for example, she would have to burden others or those lower in rank than her with the expenses of the elections she entered. But since the day our client started politics, she has personally covered all the election expenses she has incurred with her own means without burdening anyone."

The allegation is again not something to be swallowed. She says Koray Aydın entered the election with other people's money.

THIRD ACCUSATION

The following statement is included exactly in the petition written by Akşener's lawyer:

"For IYI Party members to feel ashamed of being party members; for example, our client's son would have to buy land from TOKİ together with the AKP Antalya Provincial Deputy Chair to carry out SUN... projects, establish investment partnerships with well-known firms, and carry out some irregular business through AKP and CHP municipalities. But neither our client, nor her son, nor her spouse have ever been involved in such matters."

Oh my, oh my…

Akşener is openly saying that Koray Aydın has business partnerships with the AKP and has carried out irregular business through CHP and AKP municipalities.

FOURTH ACCUSATION

Now we are coming to bigger allegations…

Akşener's lawyer Abdullah Ören says in the petition:

"For example, our client has never been in contact or connection with criminal organizations during any period she served. She did not ensure that a close friend of a criminal organization leader took part in the party administration."

She is saying that she let a criminal organization leader into the IYI Party administration and that this person is a close friend of his.

Who is this, I wonder?

Well, why didn't Akşener speak up while this was happening, that's another matter, of course!

FIFTH ACCUSATION

There is another allegation of criminal organizations in the petition.

It writes:

"For example, our client or her family members are not known names of Ankara's nightclubs either. Our client's family members, who never go to these venues that are in a complex relationship with criminal organizations, therefore did not make the party members hang their heads in shame on this issue either."

SIXTH ACCUSATION

Are you ready for another very heavy accusation?

I am quoting exactly from the petition:

"If there is a behavior that would make party members hang their heads in shame, it is; even while the party was being founded, family members demanding a commission for the furniture purchased for the party. However, this request is also not a behavior shown by our client or her family members. Our client has never considered being in such a request appropriate for any party member at any time."

What is Akşener telling?

She must be crazy or really preparing for a big war!

SEVENTH ACCUSATION

In the petition where Akşener sues Koray Aydın, she emphasizes Aydın's relationship with Ayhan Bora Kaplan, who is currently in prison on allegations of being a criminal organization leader, and says:

"For example, using a friend's vehicle of Ayhan Bora Kaplan for 1.5 years is a behavior that makes party members hang their heads in shame for our client. However, our client has never believed that any IYI Party member would behave in this way."

I even went to my source and complained, 'Is this petition real, it's not very convincing'.

Then I verified its authenticity.

After this article, I will try to reach both Meral Akşener (she changed her phone number, so her lawyer Abdullah Ören) and Koray Aydın.

But think about it… How can a former chair of a political party make these accusations against her deputy with whom she has struggled for years?
