Aktaş, who had CHP mayors arrested, turns out to be a relative of the terrorist leader's 'left-hand man'
It has emerged that Aziz İhsan Aktaş, nicknamed "Topal İhsan" (Limping İhsan), who was mentioned in operations against CHP-run municipalities, is the cousin of PKK member Veysi Aktaş, a prison companion of terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan. Family members paid a "get well soon" visit to Veysi Aktaş.
In the new reconciliation process that the government has dubbed a "Terror-Free Turkey," PKK convict Veysi Aktaş, who sat to the left of terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan in his video message, has been released after 31 years and 3 months.
A striking detail has emerged regarding Veysi Aktaş, who was arrested in 1994 for participating in the arson and shooting of a business called Yılmaz Market in Diyarbakır and was sentenced to life imprisonment for "attempting to separate a part of the lands under the sovereignty of the state from state administration" (Article 125 of the former Turkish Penal Code No. 765).
According to a report by Özgür Cebe from Sözcü, among those waiting for Aktaş, who was welcomed with flowers and ululations at Diyarbakır Airport, were the family members of Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who was released after making slanderous accusations against CHP mayors.
HE TURNS OUT TO BE A COUSIN OF AZİZ İHSAN AKTAŞ
It has been learned that Veysi Aktaş, who was part of the secretariat of the terrorist organization PKK's leader Abdullah Öcalan while in prison, is a relative of Aziz İhsan Aktaş, known to the public as "Topal İhsan." According to family ties, Veysi's father Abit and Aziz İhsan's father Nezir are brothers. Based on this information, the two are cousins.
Furthermore, it was stated that Aziz İhsan Aktaş's mother, Şerife Aktaş, and father, Nezir Aktaş, went to Veysi Aktaş's home to pay a "get well soon" visit.
FROM CANTEEN OPERATOR TO WEALTH
Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who was accused of forming a criminal organization and was released after becoming a "confessor," began operating a cafe after taking over the management of a canteen belonging to the Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) in Diyarbakır. It is stated that Aktaş, who started by selling ice cream, tea, and coffee, later amassed significant wealth through school canteens affiliated with the Directorate of National Education and tenders received from municipalities under AKP administration.
COMPLAINTS EXIST, BUT NO ACTION TAKEN!
It has also emerged that while Aziz İhsan Aktaş was under investigation due to his relations with CHP-run municipalities, he received multiple tenders worth approximately 2 billion liras from the AKP-run Elazığ Municipality. Information was shared that despite objections and complaints filed by rival firms to the Public Procurement Authority, prosecutors' offices, and other relevant institutions regarding these tenders, no action has been taken.
HIS LAWYER BROTHER DEFRAUDED TEDAŞ
It had previously emerged that Aziz İhsan Aktaş's brother, who is a lawyer, had defrauded TEDAŞ of 40 million TL in today's value by using fake enforcement files, but was being tried without arrest.
