Alarming statement from WHO: Intensive care units are full

The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that Covid-19 continues to pose a significant risk globally.

Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove, one of the WHO's pandemic preparedness experts, stated in a post on X that the risk Covid-19 poses to society remains high globally.

Van Kerkhove noted that case-based reporting is not a reliable indicator and that the Covid-19 pathogen continues to spread everywhere in the world.

According to AA's report, Van Kerkhove stated that the circulation level of the disease is 19 times higher than what is reported, and underscored that data showing 10 thousand people die from Covid-19 monthly is collected from only 50 countries.

Van Kerkhove also shared information that there was a 42 percent increase in hospitalizations due to Covid-19 and a 62 percent increase in the number of patients admitted to intensive care in December compared to the previous month.
