Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu's remarks from 6 months ago resurface: 'If my ex-boyfriend bothers me, I tell my new boyfriend'

Remarks made by Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, who was arrested on suspicion of being an instigator in the investigation into the murder of Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı, during a YouTube program she attended last year have resurfaced.

Kalaycıoğlu's reaction to what she would do if her ex-boyfriend caused trouble has become a significant detail in the investigation linked to the murder.

"IF MY EX-BOYFRIEND BOTHERS ME, I TELL MY NEW BOYFRIEND"

Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, on the YouTube program "What Are You After with Adil Yıldırım?" hosted by Adil Yıldırım, responded to the question, "What should I do if my ex-boyfriend bothers me?" as follows: "I tell my new boyfriend directly. If my ex-boyfriend is obsessive, he needs to know, otherwise he will cause a scene."

WHAT HAPPENED?

On March 19 in Ümraniye, Istanbul, Kundakçı, who was sitting in a parked car with a friend, was seriously wounded when one of the suspects who arrived at the scene in two vehicles opened fire with a gun; he later passed away at the hospital where he was taken.

In the work carried out by the Istanbul Police Department's Public Security Branch teams, 8 suspects were apprehended, including singer Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, who was considered to have a connection to the incident, and Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu, who was determined to have fired the weapon.

In the work carried out by the Murder Bureau teams, the father of the suspect who carried out the attack, Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu, identified as B.K., and singer İzzet Yıldızhan were also taken into custody.

The suspects were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the Istanbul Public Security Branch were completed.

Among the suspects brought before the prosecutor at the courthouse, B.K. was released after his statement, while Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, İzzet Yıldızhan, Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu, M.R., H.C.A., M.K., and E.T. were referred to the criminal judgeship of peace with a request for their arrest.

The other suspects, A.Ö. and Z.K., were released under judicial control measures by the criminal judgeship of peace to which they were referred after their statements. The judgeship decided to arrest the suspects Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu, Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, İzzet Yıldızhan, M.R., H.C.A., M.K., and E.T.
