Spending record from Ali Erbaş: Diyanet's daily expenditure is staggering

The Presidency of Religious Affairs, headed by Ali Erbaş, has added a new one to its spending records.

According to the report by Mustafa Bildircin from Birgün, Diyanet surpassed many ministries with its expenditures in the first half of 2025.

Utilizing 13 billion 430 million 10 thousand TL in resources in January 2025, Diyanet spent 9 billion 450 million 731 thousand TL in February.

The expenditure in March was recorded as 9 billion 659 million 779 thousand TL. In April, when economic difficulties were felt even more, the Presidency's expenses reached 9 billion 943 million 341 thousand TL.

In May, the budget used by Diyanet was determined to be 9 billion 826 million 369 thousand TL. In June, this figure rose to 9 billion 966 million 96 thousand TL.

Thus, the total expenditure made by the institution in the first six months of the year reached 62 billion 276 million 327 thousand TL.
