Ali Mahir Başarır attacks Erdoğan over Rubio's remarks: The state those who badmouthed Ecevit have fallen into

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who attended meetings on Palestine at the United Nations General Assembly and described the catastrophe Israel is causing in Gaza, is also preparing to hold a meeting with U.S. President Trump at the White House on September 25.

Following an interview after the General Assembly meeting where he stated that America had not kept its promise of peace in Gaza, U.S. Secretary of State Rubio made a press statement after President Erdoğan's remarks, using expressions such as 'they come to the White House when they want something' regarding world leaders, including Erdoğan.

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır shared these remarks by Rubio on his social media account and made pointed references to the AKP government and Erdoğan, who had previously criticized Ecevit in a similar manner.

This is the shameful situation that those who badmouthed our late Chairman Bülent Ecevit—who launched the Cyprus operation despite the U.S., lifted the poppy ban despite Pentagon threats, and was targeted by operations because he opposed the invasion of Iraq—have brought Turkey to!
