Ali Mahir Başarır responds to AKP's Varank's 'Do you have the wit for it' remark: 'That's the tweet, you moron!'

After it was revealed that a letter had been sent by the Ministry containing expressions aimed at obstructing and even closing down daycares opened by municipalities, harsh reactions were shown by the CHP regarding the document.

While all party members, especially Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, criticized this move by the AKP, the AKP stated that no such post had been made and that the statements referred to kindergartens, not daycares.

AKP's Mustafa Varank also targeted Özgür Özel's statement, which read, "This nation will not surrender the smiles of children to your dirty schemes! Touching the daycares we opened so that women can work and children can have an equal start is targeting the future of children. Come on, close them if you dare!", and made the following retort:

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır shared the letter sent by the Ministry on his social media account and underlined the references to daycares in the document. Quoting Varank's statements, Başarır added the note, "That's the tweet, you moron!" to his post, which pointed out the daycare details in the Ministry's letter.

2. Kindergarten operations cannot be conducted under the name of daycare or any other name.

4. Municipalities cannot obtain licenses because the CHP had the relevant law article cancelled and brought a ban.
