Minister Yerlikaya stated that 14 people lost their lives on the second day of the holiday alone.
Sharing the information via his social media account, Yerlikaya stated the following:
"On the 2nd day of the Ramadan Feast holiday (Sunday), 709 traffic accidents occurred. Unfortunately, 14 of our citizens lost their lives, and 1,280 of our citizens were injured. In the first 2 days of the holiday (Saturday and Sunday), unfortunately, 19 of our citizens lost their lives. 2,499 of our citizens were injured."
