Ali Yerlikaya shares the grim toll of the holiday break
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 4,998 traffic accidents occurred during the first 8 days of the Ramadan Feast holiday, resulting in the deaths of 66 citizens.
With the end of the Ramadan Feast holiday, the intensity of return traffic has begun on the highways.
On the 8th day of the holiday (April 13), 628 traffic accidents occurred.
Traffic teams inspected 382 thousand 467 vehicles. Speeding and radar citations were issued to 25 thousand 215 vehicles, while other penalties were applied to 34 thousand 407 vehicles.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared the grim toll of the traffic accidents that occurred during the first 8 days of the holiday.
Yerlikaya reported that a total of 4 thousand 498 traffic accidents occurred in 8 days, 66 citizens lost their lives, and 8 thousand 352 people were injured.
