Allegation: Leyla Alaton's son threatened a woman with death
Efe Eros Günyeli, the son of businesswoman Leyla Alaton, has been taken to court over allegations that he threatened a woman identified as E.Ü. with death. Threatening emails sent to the woman were submitted to the court. The Bakırköy Family Court has issued a restraining order against Günyeli, prohibiting him from approaching or contacting the woman.
It has been alleged that Efe Eros Günyeli, the son of businesswoman Leyla Alaton, one of the most well-known figures in high society, threatened a woman with death.
According to a report by Arzu Kaya from Sabah, the legal process between Leyla Alaton's 25-year-old son, Efe Eros Günyeli, and a woman identified as E.Ü. began with emails sent to the woman. E.Ü., who received numerous emails, was subjected to death threats. It is alleged that the person sending the emails on behalf of the Alaton family was Efe Eros Günyeli.
In an email written in English, the person or persons claiming that the Alaton family had hired them to kill E.Ü. stated, "Goodbye sister, the Alaton family has given instructions to the necessary places to end your life." E.Ü., who was threatened with death, applied to the court through her lawyer and submitted the threatening emails to the court.
Taking into account that E.Ü. was subjected to violence and the danger of further violence, the Bakırköy Family Court accepted the request for a protective measure. The court decided that Efe Eros Günyeli must not engage in words or behaviors containing threats of violence, insults, humiliation, or degradation against E.Ü., and also issued a restraining order prohibiting him from approaching the victim's residence, school, or workplace.
In addition to the obligation to maintain physical distance, the court also ruled that Efe Eros Günyeli must not disturb E.Ü. through communication devices. Stating that the protective measures will be valid for 3 months, the court also ordered that in case of violation of these decisions, a coercive imprisonment of 3 to 10 days, and 15 to 30 days for repeat offenses, may be applied.
