The event that sparked the investigation was a social media post made by Erkan Çakır. Çakır had accused CHP Bursa Provincial Chair Nihat Yeşiltaş of selling delegates.
According to the report by İsmail Saymaz from Halk TV, Çakır could not support his claims with concrete evidence in his testimony. Stating that he did not have any footage or documents, Çakır indicated that he made the post based on hearsay.
On the other hand, other allegations raised against Çakır also drew attention. It was claimed that he has a criminal record for blackmail in the past and was tried on charges of fraud. Despite this, the prosecutor's office continues its investigation into the convention.
