Allegations of drug trafficking and procuring for prostitution... 7 suspects face prosecutors

Following a major operation carried out in Istanbul, famous actress Ezgi Eyüboğlu and 7 suspects were brought before a prosecutor after their procedures at the police station. Within the scope of the investigation, the suspects are facing charges of drug trafficking, procuring for prostitution, and violation of the Law on Firearms. 8 DETAINED IN OPERATION

Targeting famous names, the operation was conducted in the morning hours by the Istanbul Organized Crime Branch Directorate under the instructions of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The charges against the 8 individuals detained were listed as follows:

EZGİ EYÜBOĞLU RELEASED

The situation of Ezgi Eyüboğlu, who was detained during the operation on charges of “use of narcotic substances,” was a subject of curiosity for a long time. After the tests conducted by the Council of Forensic Medicine and other necessary procedures, the actress was released. Eyüboğlu was not among those referred to the courthouse.

STRIKING FINDINGS IN SEARCHES

Searches conducted at the suspects' homes within the scope of the operation revealed noteworthy findings. Law enforcement officers seized the following items at the addresses:

Numerous licensed and unlicensed weapons,

111 Lyrica capsules,

Various amounts of crystal narcotic substances,

Liquid narcotic substances and cartridges,

Apparatus and grinders used for drug consumption,

A large amount of counterfeit dollars.

STATEMENT MADE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Immediately after being released, Ezgi Eyüboğlu made a statement on her social media account, responding to the allegations against her. Eyüboğlu stated the following:

"To the Public! I was detained during a search conducted while I was at the home of someone who is my neighbor and friend during the operation that took place today, and I was released after my statement was taken by the prosecutor's office. All allegations in the news about me are baseless. If deemed necessary, my lawyer will make a statement regarding the process."
