Allegations of irregularity in Eskişehir: Indictment prepared against Büyükerşen and 4 others
An indictment has been prepared against 5 people, including former Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yılmaz Büyükerşen, regarding allegations of "irregularity by abusing trust." The indictment states that "a multi-million lira scam was carried out through foundations."
The indictment prepared by the Eskişehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has been accepted by the 8th Criminal Court of First Instance.
The indictment alleges that Büyükerşen and 4 others committed "irregularities by abusing trust due to their positions" through foundations and companies where they held management roles.
"FOUNDATION-OWNED COMPANIES INCURRED LOSSES"
In the Chief Public Prosecutor's indictment, it was stated that "foundation-owned companies incurred a loss of 876 thousand 16 lira due to these sales made below market value."
The indictment claims that a property belonging to ETAM Eğitim A.Ş located in the Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone was sold for 13 million 500 thousand lira, and this money was used to increase the share in another foundation company.
"BÜYÜKERŞEN'S SHARE VALUE INCREASED 15-FOLD"
It was alleged that through these irregularities, "Yılmaz Büyükerşen and his family increased the share value they held in Tuna Turistik A.Ş by approximately 10-15 times."
The prosecutor's indictment also emphasized that there were discrepancies in the asset declarations of Büyükerşen and Ahmet Durmaz.
