Eight students attending a vocational high school in Torbalı have been detained by the gendarmerie on the grounds that they were preparing to carry out an attack on the school.
According to the allegations, it was determined that the students were planning an attack through a 20-person WhatsApp group named "12/A Avionics." Examining the correspondence within the group, gendarmerie teams conducted simultaneous operations at the identified addresses.
As a result of the operation, 12th-grade students identified as T.Y., A.K., A.E.Ö., E.K., R.D., F.G., Ç.S., and A.Ç. were detained. Evidence obtained during searches of the students' homes and digital devices has begun to be analyzed.
