Allegations of sale to Qatar: Statement from the Minister on e-Nabız

Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu traveled to Kars for a series of visits and inspections.

Speaking to journalists there, Memişoğlu addressed the e-Nabız Personal Health Record System. Stating that Turkey's health informatics infrastructure is a model for the world, Memişoğlu drew attention to the security of the system.

DATA IS ENCRYPTED PERSONALLY

Memişoğlu stated that the e-Nabız system has formed the foundation of Turkey's health informatics field since 2014 and said the following:

"This system has been the foundation of our health system in terms of information and data, especially since 2014. It is encrypted personally. No one other than the patient themselves can see the data. The data is protected by special security software and audits. During the COVID-19 process, thanks to our system, vaccination cards were instantly made available to users."

ALLEGATIONS OF SALE TO QATAR ARE SPECULATION

Minister Memişoğlu also responded to allegations that the e-Nabız application was sold to Qatar. Describing these claims as "speculation," Memişoğlu stated that official statements made by institutions should be relied upon.

'THEY SHOULD NOT CAUSE A LOSS OF TRUST'

Stating that it is impossible for any data to reach anywhere else, Memişoğlu used the following expressions:

"They should not try to sow discord, create sedition and mischief in a way that harms Turkey's values, and cause a loss of trust. I am saying this very clearly; no data can reach anywhere else through e-Nabız. Even I, as the minister, cannot access this information. I want people to trust the information provided by official institutions.
