Allegations that TMSF has placed a freeze on Seyhan Municipality accounts
Following the transfer of the management and assets of companies owned by Aziz İhsan Aktaş to the TMSF, it has been alleged that the TMSF has placed a freeze on the municipality's accounts in response to Aktaş's receivables from the Seyhan Municipality.
Previously conducted investigations within the framework, the management and assets of the companies owned by Azizİhsan Aktaş were transferred to the TMSF.The Fund had initiated a retrospective
review of the companies.In the preliminary financial audits, it was determined that the Seyhan Municipality had a significantamount of debtto the companies in question.
All rights andreceivables of thecompanies are underTMSF control.Due to this, fund officials initiatedthe legal process to collectthe receivables from the municipality. In this context, it wasalleged that all of Seyhan Municipality'sbank accounts have been frozen.
There has been no official statement yetfrom Seyhan Municipality officialsregarding the matter.
Within the scope of the investigation into Aziz İhsan Aktaş, Seyhan Mayor Oya Tekin and her husband Celal Tekin were arrested on allegations of accepting bribes from Aktaş.
