Alleged letter from FETÖ to Biden: They complained about Turkey
It is alleged that the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) has written a letter to US President Joe Biden complaining about Turkey and showing that they are pinning their hopes on him in an attempt to bridge a deep internal rift.
According to information obtained from security sources, confessions coming from within FETÖ, the health status of FETÖ ringleader Fetullah Gülen, and his abduction to another house have caused the rift within the organization to deepen further.
As reported by İHA, organization members are now preparing to present a letter to US President Joe Biden just days before the eighth anniversary of the failed July 15 coup attempt in order to shift their own agenda. It was stated that some US congress members also contributed to the letter.
Recent internal reckonings within FETÖ, confessions made, and allegations of abduction following the illness of organization ringleader Fetullah Gülen have caused fragmentation within the organization. Loyalty and belief among organization members have begun to wane, and defections have started to occur.
LETTER FROM FETÖ TO BIDEN
The organization's top management has made every effort to prevent this fragmentation. To prove that Fetullah Gülen's health is "good," past photos and footage claimed to be live were shared. Journalists affiliated with the organization published footage of their visits to the ringleader.
According to information obtained from security sources, FETÖ has now sought a new path and written a letter to US President Biden against Turkey.
"THEY ARE TRYING TO AFFECT TURKEY-US RELATIONS"
In the letter they prepared, FETÖ members make no mention of the coup attempt they tried to carry out against the Turkish government, instead claiming that "unfair policies" are being pursued against organization members.
FETÖ members also touch upon issues concerning Turkey's internal affairs in the letter. The organization members complain to US President Biden about the Turkish government regarding the decisions taken by the European Court of Human Rights concerning Selahattin Demirtaş, Osman Kavala, and Yüksel Yalçınkaya.
The attempt to interfere in bilateral relations between Turkey and the US through the letter is noteworthy. It is requested that the US approach to Turkey be "human rights-based," and US President Biden is asked to pressure the Turkish government.
"FETÖ MEMBERS' EFFORTS TO RETURN TO TURKEY CONTINUE"
When the demands written in the letter are taken into account, the efforts of organization members to return to Turkey also stand out. One of the demands in the letter is for the unconditional release of detainees belonging to the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization and for them to be allowed to return to their jobs.
With the letter they wrote to the US President, the organization members are seeking ways to be "exonerated" without even considering the hundreds of martyrs who lost their lives and the thousands of people who became veterans during the bloody coup attempt they carried out on July 15.
FETÖ members have not yet shared the letter they wrote to US President Joe Biden. Before sharing the letter, the organization has started to organize a signature campaign. FETÖ aims to increase the organization's influence over US President Biden as the number of signatures on the letter increases.
"THE FINAL MOVE BEFORE THE NATO SUMMIT"
In the news reported by İHA, it was stated that FETÖ is playing its "final card" before the NATO Leaders' Summit to be held in the US in July 2024, which AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will attend. It was expressed that efforts are being made to bring the letter they will give to US President Biden to the agenda at the NATO Leaders' Summit as well, and that they are trying to turn the agenda in the direction they want by engaging in black propaganda against Turkey.
