Allegedly linked to Sedat Peker: Erhan Kılıç, accused of being an organized crime leader, shot in armed attack

Erhan Kılıç, who is accused of being an organized crime leader in the case heard in Bursa known publicly as the “Köfteci Yusuf Case,” was shot in an armed attack in Başakşehir, Istanbul, yesterday evening. Kılıç, who was wounded by 3 bullets, was taken to the hospital by medical teams called to the scene. However, it was revealed that he used a fake identity at the hospital to conceal his real identity.

ATTACK OCCURRED IN BAŞAKŞEHİR

According to a report by Halk TV, the incident took place in Başakşehir yesterday evening. Erhan Kılıç, who was targeted by unidentified individuals in an armed attack, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. It was reported that 3 bullets struck Kılıç's body.

ATTEMPTED TO ENTER HOSPITAL WITH FAKE ID

It was learned that when Kılıç was brought to the hospital, he provided a fake ID issued under the name “Görkem Alp” to hide his true identity. However, hospital staff became suspicious and notified the police, leading to an investigation of the ID. Checks confirmed that the wounded individual was actually Erhan Kılıç.

REVEALED TO BE A FUGITIVE

Following the identification, police teams determined that Kılıç was a fugitive wanted for another crime. While Kılıç's treatment continues, a comprehensive investigation into the incident has been launched.

DEFENDANT IN “KÖFTECİ YUSUF” CASE: ALLEGATIONS OF USING PEKER'S NAME

Erhan Kılıç is being tried on charges of “establishing and managing an organization” in the case heard at the Bursa 10th High Criminal Court, which targeted businessman Yusuf Akkaş. It is alleged that Kılıç threatened Akkaş and forced him to sell his meat processing facility, which is valued at 22 million TL.

The indictment states that Kılıç introduced himself as someone from the inner circle of organized crime leader Sedat Peker and used this connection to exert pressure on Akkaş. Some sources close to Sedat Peker, however, argue that Kılıç used Peker's name without authorization to intervene in the case for his own interests.

INVESTIGATION EXPANDED

Police teams are conducting a comprehensive investigation to identify the person or persons who carried out the attack, as well as into Kılıç's use of a fake identity and his status as a fugitive.
