Amendment to the regulation governing the academic life of military students: Lateral transfer ban introduced
According to the decision published in the March 15 issue of the Official Gazette, a significant amendment has been made by the Ministry of National Defense to the regulation governing the academic life of military students.
A decision stating that military students will no longer be able to perform lateral transfers or change their departments at the faculty or vocational school where they are enrolled has been published in the Official Gazette.
The Ministry's relevant decision, titled "Regulation on Amending the Regulation Regarding Faculty and Vocational School Military Student Command and Students, and Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers Raised from Faculties and Vocational Schools," has been published in the Official Gazette.
MILITARY SCHOOL STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PERFORM LATERAL TRANSFERS
With this regulation, a ban has been imposed on military students changing the programs or higher education institutions in which they are enrolled.
Following this decision, students are required to complete their education on behalf of and at the expense of the Ministry of National Defense.
On the other hand, the graduation dates of military students studying in faculties or vocational schools will be accepted as their appointment dates to the rank of second lieutenant.
