Amendment to the Zoning Regulation for Unplanned Areas published in the Official Gazette

The regulation regarding amendments to the Zoning Regulation for Unplanned Areas has been published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, for the reconstruction of residential buildings with moderate or severe damage in villages affected by the February 6 earthquakes, a distance of at least 1.50 meters must be maintained from road frontages and other boundaries, and 3 meters between buildings.

Amendment to the Zoning Regulation for Unplanned Areas published in the Official Gazette

The regulation regarding amendments to the Zoning Regulation for Unplanned Areas by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has been published in the Official Gazette.

With the temporary article added to the regulation, a new arrangement is being made regarding on-site transformation in regions affected by the February 6 earthquakes. The temporary article in question is as follows:

“In areas affected by the earthquakes that occurred on February 6, 2023, for the on-site reconstruction of residential buildings identified as having moderate or severe damage within the built-up areas of villages and hamlets, or in rural built-up areas, whether inside or outside municipal adjacent area boundaries, a distance of at least 1.50 meters shall be maintained from road frontages and at least 1.50 meters from other parcel boundaries, and a distance of at least 3.00 meters shall be maintained between buildings on the parcel.

In parcels where the specified distances cannot be maintained, the relevant administration is authorized to determine and set the distances to neighbors, gardens, and road frontages based on the site plan showing the structure's position prior to the disaster.”
