Animal massacre at AKP-run Ümraniye Municipality following Gebze! They fed kittens expired food
Numerous dead cats and expired pet food were found at the Hekimbaşı Shelter, which belongs to the AKP-run Ümraniye Municipality.
Following the animal massacre at the Gebze Municipality's Stray Animal Temporary Care and Rehabilitation Center, similar scenes have emerged at the Ümraniye Municipality.

Animal rights activists who went to the Ümraniye Hekimbaşı Shelter encountered numerous dead cats.

While it was stated that the surviving cats were in poor health, it was revealed that the animals at the shelter were being fed expired food.

Police teams arrived at the scene. Municipal police (zabıta) attempted to remove the animal rights activists from the shelter. The activists stated that they would not leave until a lawyer arrived.
While the prosecutor is expected to arrive at the shelter where the massacre took place and many kittens were left to die, it was learned that the municipality's veterinarians did not make a statement to members of the press.
