ANKA Editor-in-Chief Kenan Şener detained as part of Incirlik investigation
ANKA News Agency Editor-in-Chief Kenan Şener has been detained in Ankara as part of an investigation launched by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into live broadcasts made from the Incirlik Air Base.
ANKA News Agency had conducted a live broadcast from the Incirlik Air Base for approximately 1 hour and 14 minutes, sharing footage of the base.
In relation to the matter, the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an ex officio investigation into the live broadcast of footage concerning the Incirlik Air Base by ANKA News Agency.
Three suspects had previously been detained in Adana regarding the incident. Following this, the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a detention warrant for ANKA Editor-in-Chief Kenan Şener.
Following the detention warrant, Şener was taken into custody in Ankara during the night hours.
