The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has submitted a request to the Ministry of Interior for permission to initiate an investigation into Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş and his Chief of Staff, Nevzat Uzunoğlu.

Within the scope of the investigation by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined based on the referral report prepared by the Ministry of Interior's Civil Inspection Board, as well as MASAK reviews, Court of Accounts audits, and expert reports, that the administration had incurred a loss of 154 million 453 thousand 221.60 Turkish Lira in 32 concert service procurement contracts.

As part of the investigation, 14 suspects, including former municipal bureaucrats and company officials, were detained on September 23 on charges of "misconduct in office" and "rigging of tenders."

After processing at the police station, the suspects were brought to the Ankara Courthouse, where they provided statements to the public prosecutor conducting the investigation before being referred to the criminal judgeship of peace. Five of the suspects were arrested by the duty criminal judge of peace on charges of "embezzlement" and "rigging of tenders for public institutions or organizations," while 9 suspects were released under judicial control conditions.
