Ankara Governor's Office: Banned until August 30
The Ankara Governor's Office has announced that, due to meteorological data predicting that air temperatures will remain well above seasonal norms in the coming days, activities involving picnics with open fires in permitted areas are prohibited as a precautionary measure from Saturday, July 26, 2025, until August 30, 2025.
In a post shared on the Ankara Governor's Office's social media account, it was stated, "According to meteorological data, air temperatures are expected to remain well above seasonal norms in the coming days.
For this reason, in order to protect our forests from fires, the use of barbecues and activities involving picnics with open fires in permitted areas are prohibited as a precautionary measure from Saturday, July 26, 2025, until August 30, 2025.
We kindly request our citizens to have picnics without fires or barbecues in permitted areas, to comply with the rules and prohibitions, and to show understanding and support in this regard," the statement read.
