The announcement for the 2026 voluntary inter-provincial relocation of tenured teachers has been published by the Ministry of National Education.
The voluntary inter-provincial relocation process for tenured teachers working in official educational institutions under the Ministry of National Education will be carried out electronically, based on teachers' preferences, announced quotas, and service point seniority.
Within the scope of the announcement, teachers requesting relocation are required to have completed at least three years of service in their current province as of December 31, 2026.
Applications will be made between May 14-20
Teachers who have transitioned from contract-based teaching to tenured positions must have completed a total of four years of service, including both contract-based and tenured periods, as of December 31, 2026. The final day of applications, May 20, will be used as the basis for calculating service points. Applications can be submitted between May 14 and May 20, until 16:00 on the final day. Teachers may select up to 40 educational institutions from among those in the province where they wish to work. Appointment procedures will be conducted based on service point seniority, taking into account the teachers' preferences within the announced quotas. Appointment results will be announced on May 22 at personnel.meb.gov.tr.
