Another arrest regarding the death of Zeren Ertaş

In Aydın, the number of suspects arrested as part of the investigation into the elevator accident at a dormitory that resulted in the death of university student Zeren Ertaş has risen to 2.

COMPANY OWNER ALSO ARRESTED

As part of the investigation conducted by the Aydın Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the accident at the Güzelhisar Girls' Dormitory, detention warrants were issued for 4 more suspects, including the elevator company owner, H.T.

The detained suspects were referred to the courthouse following processing. One of the suspects, H.T., was arrested. The other 3 suspects were released. Thus, the number of suspects arrested in connection with the incident has risen to 2.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

On October 25, Zeren Ertaş, a student at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Adnan Menderes University, lost her life as a result of an elevator falling at the Güzelhisar Girls' Dormitory. In the investigation regarding the incident, M.B., one of the elevator company officials, had been arrested.
