The Isparta Governor's Office announced that Gelendost Mayor Mustafa Özmen and 5 others have been taken into custody.

In a written statement issued by the Isparta Governor's Office, it was stated that detention orders were issued for 6 people, including the Mayor of Gelendost, as part of an investigation conducted by the Yalvaç Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

The statement noted that search, apprehension, and detention procedures were carried out for Özmen and 5 suspects under the instructions of the Yalvaç Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Özmen, who was elected as the Mayor of Gelendost from the İYİ Party in the March 31, 2024 local elections, had resigned from his party on January 20, 2025.
