Another UAV crashes in Turkey: This time in Balıkesir

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crashed into an empty field in the Salur neighborhood of Balıkesir's Manyas district. The UAV, which was discovered by farmers, was handed over to gendarmerie teams, and an investigation into the matter has been launched.

SECURITY MEASURES TAKEN WHERE THE UAV WAS FOUND

The incident occurred in the Salur neighborhood. Farmers noticed the UAV that had crashed in an empty field and immediately reported the situation to the gendarmerie. Gendarmerie teams arrived at the scene, took security measures in the surrounding area, and conducted their initial examinations of the UAV.

While the teams have launched a detailed investigation into the crash of the vehicle, they have secured the area in a controlled manner.

ORIGIN OF THE UAV IS UNCERTAIN

The UAV, whose owner has not yet been identified, remains the subject of uncertainty regarding whether it is of Russian origin based on initial examinations. Following the investigations by security forces, the UAV was sent to Ankara for a detailed technical analysis.
