Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek, who was detained as part of a "bribery" investigation by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was arrested by the court to which he was referred following his statement to the prosecutor.

Z.K., the former daughter-in-law of Böcek, who was also detained and referred to the courthouse as part of the investigation, was released by the court with a travel ban and judicial control conditions.

The wait by CHP members, which began in front of the Antalya Provincial Police Department during the day, continued in front of the courthouse. Addressing the party members in front of the courthouse, CHP Muratpaşa District Chair and lawyer Can Okan Kıran said, "A result will be obtained today. We think a positive or negative result will be obtained. The interrogation will take a long time."

CHP Deputy Chairman Suat Özçağdaş and CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır also came to the courthouse to receive information. The Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated that there was "strong suspicion of crime" regarding Muhittin Böcek in line with technical examinations, witness statements, base station records, and financial documents, and requested his arrest in accordance with Article 100 of the CMK. Böcek was arrested by the court to which he was referred.
