AÖF registration fees increased: New fees announced

Prospective students wishing to enroll in a second university program without an entrance exam were met with increased fees again this year. Registration fees for the Anadolu University Open Education Faculty (AÖF) have been increased by up to 70 percent. With the start of registration for second university programs without an entrance exam, citizens wishing to enroll in or renew their registration for AÖF programs were met with price hikes of up to 69 percent.

With the increase applied to semester registration fees, which ranged between 1,180 Turkish Lira and 2,080 Turkish Lira last year, the semester fee for departments that cost 1,180 Turkish Lira last year has risen by 69 percent to 1,995 Turkish Lira. The fees for departments that cost 1,565 Turkish Lira last year have reached 2,430 Turkish Lira with a 55 percent increase. The fees for programs with foreign language instruction, which were 2,080 Turkish Lira in the previous term, have become 3,400 Turkish Lira with a 63 percent increase.

The amounts that those who will register for AÖF in the 2024-2025 academic year must pay by department are as follows:

Faculty of Economics: 1,995 TL (last year 1,180 TL)

Faculty of Business Administration: 1,995 TL (last year 1,180 TL)

Open Education Faculty: 1,995 TL (last year 1,180 TL)

Faculty of Engineering: 2,430 TL (last year 1,565 TL)

Foreign Language Instruction Programs: 3,400 TL (last year 2,080 TL)

The new fee schedules will affect candidates interested in second university programs without an entrance exam. While these hikes increase students' educational expenses, they may cause those considering enrollment to reconsider their budgets.
