Approved in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey: Critical law on public recruitment and TRT passed! Age limit introduced...

The proposal, which envisages amendments to certain laws as well as Decree-Law No. 375, has been accepted in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and has entered into force.

With the new law, an age limit of 35 has been introduced for personnel recruitment to be conducted through competitive examinations in public institutions. With this regulation, the age criterion for entry into the profession has become official.

On the other hand, a member will be elected by the Constitutional Court from among its own members to the position of President of the Court of Jurisdictional Disputes.

Furthermore, within the scope of the regulation, real estate belonging to public administrations and areas under the authority and disposal of the state may be allocated to TRT free of charge to be used in its operations.

Another notable regulation concerning TRT paves the way for the institution to establish companies within the framework of private law rules and to form partnerships with domestic or foreign individuals or organizations. In this way, TRT will have the opportunity to expand its field of activity and develop flexible business models.
