Senior officials from political parties shared posts on their social media accounts to mark April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day and the 104th anniversary of the opening of the TBMM.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, celebrated the holiday by releasing his own video with the following sentences:

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, "The first parliament is the founding will of the Republic of Turkey" he stated in a written post on his Instagram account.

İYİ Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener, shared a photograph of Atatürk with his adopted daughter Ülkü Adatepe in front of the parliament and added the following note:

"April 23 is the day we declared to the whole world that in the Republic of Turkey, power belongs to the will of the nation, authority belongs to the heart of the nation, and the future belongs to the children of the nation...

I once again bow with respect before the cherished memory of all our heroes who gathered under the roof of our First Assembly for our independence and our future.

Democrat Party Chairman Gültekin Uysal, shared a holiday post featuring a photo of Atatürk, the Turkish flag, and the First Parliament.

New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) Chairman Fatih Erbakan, "I congratulate the precious children of our beloved nation on the #April23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day." celebrated the holiday with a post in which they used these expressions.
