Ardahan Governor's Office removes Turkish flag from its logo! Step taken back after backlash
The removal of the Turkish flag from the governor's office logo by Ardahan Governor Mehmet Fatih Çiçekli, who took office last week, drew backlash.
Mehmet Fatih Çiçekli was appointed as the Governor of Ardahan by a decree published in the Official Gazette last week.

Under Çiçekli's administration, the governor's office changed its corporate logo on its official social media account. The Turkish flag, the historic Ardahan Castle, snowy mountains, and the historic bridge over the Kura River, which were present in the old logo, were removed. The new logo featured snow and leaf symbols.

The removal of the Turkish flag from the governor's office's corporate logo sparked backlash.
FLAG ADDED BACK AFTER BACKLASH
Following the backlash, the governor's office made another change to the logo it had quietly altered. The Turkish flag was placed back onto the governor's office logo.
