Armed attack in the heart of Istanbul: One dead and multiple injured
In an armed attack carried out by unidentified person or persons against people on the street in Beyoğlu, 1 person died and 4 were injured.
One person died and 4 people, 1 of whom is in critical condition, were injured in an armed attack in Beyoğlu.
According to the information received, 3 suspects arrived at Mehmet Akif Ersoy Neighborhood, Etibank Street and opened fire on the surroundings with guns. The suspects, who were reported to be in their 20s, then fled the scene.
A total of 5 people were injured in the attack, 2 of them critically.
Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area.
One of the injured, who were taken to nearby hospitals, lost their life despite all interventions.
Police teams, who cordoned off the scene and conducted an investigation, have launched an operation to capture the fleeing suspects.
