Armed attack on Ardeşen Deputy Mayor Mustafa Kuyumcu: 2 CHP members injured
An armed individual carried out an attack on Ardeşen Deputy Mayor Mustafa Kuyumcu in Rize. It was reported that the assailant fled the scene.
In the Ardeşen district of Rize, Deputy Mayor Mustafa Kuyumcu was subjected to an armed attack. Kuyumcu, who was injured in the attack, has been taken under treatment at the hospital.
The incident occurred at the municipality-owned social facilities in the town center. An individual approached Kuyumcu and opened fire with a weapon. The injured deputy mayor was rushed to Ardeşen State Hospital for medical intervention.
It was learned that CHP District Women's Branch President Müjgan Seferoğlu Gültekin was also injured in the same attack. An investigation into the incident has been launched, and efforts to apprehend the assailant are ongoing.
