Armed attack on Yeniden Refah Party campaign vehicle

The incident occurred in front of the Yeniden Refah Party's election liaison office in Hadımköy neighborhood. According to allegations, unidentified person or persons opened fire with a gun on the campaign announcement vehicle parked in front of the office while the driver was inside.

Three of the bullets hit the vehicle's windshield. While there were no deaths or injuries in the incident, police teams were dispatched to the front of the liaison office upon notification.

Police teams, who took security measures in the surrounding area, have launched an investigation to catch the suspect or suspects who fled after the attack.

"WE STRONGLY CONDEMN IT"

Speaking about the incident, Yeniden Refah Party Arnavutköy District Chair and district mayoral candidate Abdulrezzak İlbeyi said, "It would be unfair to name anyone as the perpetrator. We strongly condemn it. The part we are relieved about is that our friend in the driver's seat was not harmed."

The driver, Levent Selçuk, who was in the vehicle during the attack, said, "Before I could understand what was happening, I got out and saw a person in the opposite area, but I couldn't identify them. We condemn it; such a thing should not happen. They fired 3 shots," he said.
