Armed clash in the garden of a hospital in Bakırköy, Istanbul! There are wounded

An armed clash occurred at around 01:00 in the shared garden of Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital and Bakırköy Mazhar Osman Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital.

4 PEOPLE WOUNDED

According to allegations, an argument broke out between two groups sitting on benches for an as-yet-unknown reason. The argument quickly escalated, and weapons were drawn between the two groups. Dozens of rounds were fired during the fight, causing citizens in the vicinity to run in panic. Four people were wounded in the clash. Stray bullets from the shootout hit a security booth and a passing vehicle.

ATTACKERS FLED THE SCENE

Following the fight, in which 4 people were wounded and dozens of rounds were fired, the attackers fled the scene. Police teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. Police teams arriving at the scene took extensive security measures in the surrounding area. After the clash, hospital staff and nearby citizens rushed to help the wounded. The wounded, who received their initial intervention at the scene, were placed on stretchers and taken into the hospital. It was learned that the treatment of the wounded is ongoing at the hospital.

HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM CLOSED

On the other hand, the Emergency Room of Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital, where the wounded were taken for treatment, was closed to patient entry and exit as a precaution. Crime scene investigation teams conducted examinations in and around the hospital for a long time. Dozens of empty shell casings were found during the investigation. Police teams have launched an operation to search for the suspects who fled the scene after the clash.
