Arrest request for Suat Toktaş, Kürşad Oğuz, and Barış Pehlivan
Suat Toktaş, Kürşad Oğuz, and Barış Pehlivan have been referred to court.
Halk TV Managing Editor Serhan Asker and presenter Seda Selek, who were detained as part of an investigation launched over the broadcast of an audio recording on Halk TV involving expert witness S.B.—whom Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu pointed out was involved in CHP cases—have been released under judicial control.
Following the testimonies of Pehlivan and Asker, Halk TV Editor-in-Chief Suat Toktaş and program coordinator Kürşad Oğuz were also taken to the prosecutor's office for questioning, with allegations that they "participated in the imputed crimes."
Toktaş, Oğuz, and Pehlivan have been referred to the duty criminal judgeship of peace with a request for their arrest.
ARREST REQUESTED
It was stated that following the testimonies of Pehlivan and Asker, Halk TV Editor-in-Chief Suat Toktaş and program coordinator Kürşad Oğuz would also have their statements taken by the prosecutor, and that instructions had been given to the police department regarding this matter. Toktaş and Oğuz were brought to the Çağlayan Courthouse to provide their statements. The prosecutor's questioning of Oğuz and Toktaş has been completed.
