Arrest requests for 48 suspects in terror attack in front of Istanbul Courthouse
The 48 suspects detained in connection with the terror attack carried out by the terrorist organization DHKP/C against the security checkpoint in front of the Çağlayan Courthouse in Istanbul have been referred to the judgeship with a request for their arrest.
Emrah Yayla and Pınar Birkoç's armed attack on the police checkpoint in front of the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan on February 6 has concluded with the completion of police processing for the suspects detained during the investigation.
ARREST REQUEST FOR 48 SUSPECTS
The suspects were transported from the police station in police buses and brought to the Istanbul Courthouse following health checks. Two deputy chief public prosecutors and 35 public prosecutors were assigned to take the statements of the suspects. The process of taking statements lasted approximately 3 hours.
According to the report by Deniz Yusufoğlu from Milliyet, 48 of the suspects were referred to the Duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for arrest, while 48 suspects were referred with a request for judicial control measures.
