The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the death of Ülker Güleryüz in a fire that broke out in a shanty house. Following an examination by the Ankara Regional Criminal Police Laboratory Directorate of samples taken by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office from the residence where the incident occurred, it was stated that no flammable or incendiary substances were detected.
While the electrical cables in the residence were also examined, it was stated that there was no possibility of the fire originating from the electrical system.

"NO TRACE OF ARSON FOUND"
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office requested the Fire Department to conduct an investigation into the cause of the fire. As a result of the examination, it was determined that the fire was caused by the stove. The report sent to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office included the following statements:
"It is understood that the fire occurred due to various textile products such as carpets, rugs, blankets, and quilts, or plastic products located near the stove reaching their ignition temperature, and that the fire grew by spreading to the ceiling."

The Fire Department stated that as a result of the examination, no flammable or incendiary substances that would indicate arson were found at the scene.
