A violent incident that took place at a liquor store in the Çiğli district of İzmir was captured on security camera. The suspect, who is alleged to have attacked his wife, who is in the process of divorce, and attempted to strangle her, was arrested after being apprehended by police teams.
It was stated that the incident occurred at a business in the district last July. According to allegations, the suspect came to the business and wanted his wife, who is in the process of separation, to sign the divorce settlement papers he had brought with him.
When the woman refused to sign the documents, the suspect attacked her. In the footage, it was seen that the young child was also present at the business during the attack and was running around in fear.
It was alleged that the suspect attempted to strangle the woman he was beating by pressing a plastic bag over her face. Those moments were recorded by the security camera at the business.
Following the woman's complaint, police teams launched an investigation. The suspect, who was apprehended and taken into custody in a short time, was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station.
The suspect, who was brought before a judge, was arrested and sent to prison.
