Attack on AKP Provincial Youth Branch President

In Adana, AKP Adana Youth Branch President Murtaza Önder Yücel was taken to the hospital after being subjected to a knife attack by an individual during a traffic dispute.

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred last night (October 25) on 82066 Street in the Karslılar neighborhood of the central Çukurova district. It is alleged that 25-year-old AKP Adana Provincial Youth Branch President Murtaza Önder Yücel rear-ended the vehicle of 35-year-old Metin A., which had slowed down due to a speed bump on the road. This led to an argument between the two.

NO LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES

When the argument quickly turned into a fight, Metin A. attacked and wounded Yücel with a knife. The suspect fled after wounding Yücel. Bystanders then notified health and police teams about the incident. Health teams arriving at the scene transported the wounded Yücel to the hospital.

It was learned that Yücel underwent surgery and is no longer in critical condition.

9 PRIOR CRIMINAL RECORDS

Following the incident, teams from the Çukurova District Police Department launched an operation to apprehend the suspect. During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect was in the Barış neighborhood. The suspect's vehicle was found abandoned.

It was alleged that the detained suspect has 9 prior criminal records, including intentional injury.
