Attack on Atatürk Monument in Fatih, Istanbul! The moment caught on camera...
A masked individual carried out an attack on Turkey's first Atatürk Monument, located in Sarayburnu in Istanbul's Fatih district. Police arrived at the scene following reports and took the attacker into custody.
In Sarayburnu, an individual climbed onto the Atatürk Monument with an iron tool in hand and began attacking the bust.
Citizens in the vicinity reacted to the incident and attempted to get the attacker down from the monument.

Upon notification of the situation, police teams arrived at the scene and took the attacker into custody.
The incident was recorded by some citizens using mobile phone cameras.
