Attempted 2 million lira gold fraud by someone claiming to be a 'prosecutor' in Yalova

In Yalova, an attempt by scammers posing as a "prosecutor" to seize gold worth approximately 2 million lira belonging to 81-year-old N.B. was thwarted at the last moment.
According to the information obtained, the suspects, who directed the elderly citizen they reached by phone, demanded that the gold be handed over. When N.B. came to the jeweler and asked where to deliver the gold, the shopkeeper, suspecting the situation, assessed that it might be a phone scam and notified the police without wasting any time.
The fraud attempt was prevented by the timely intervention of the teams that took action upon the report. Thus, the elderly citizen was saved from losing savings worth approximately 2 million lira.
