Attempted bomb attack on a hotel in Istanbul
An attempted hand grenade attack was carried out on a hotel in Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district. The bomb did not detonate, and a person inside the hotel returned fire at the attacker. The wounded assailant was taken to the hospital.
In the Yeşilova neighborhood of Küçükçekmece, a hand grenade attack was carried out today around 1:00 PM by a minor who arrived at the hotel on a motorcycle.
According to Habertürk, the bomb did not detonate, and a person inside the hotel fired a weapon at the individual who threw the bomb.
TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL
Upon notification, teams from the Küçükçekmece District Police Department and the Counter-Terrorism Branch were dispatched to the scene. The wounded child was taken to the hospital by an ambulance that arrived at the scene.
The hotel, which was targeted in the hand grenade attack, had also been attacked with long-barreled weapons in April. Meanwhile, it was learned that the motorcycle used by the child who threw the hand grenade was stolen.
