Attention Istanbul residents! Some roads will be closed to traffic today
In a statement issued by the Istanbul Police Department, the roads that will be closed to traffic today for the "Winter Run Istanbul" event and alternative routes were announced.
In the written statement from the police, the roads that will be closed to traffic today between 07:00 and 14:00 as part of the event to be held at the Kadıköy Caddebostan coastal road event area and the Bağdat Avenue-Göztepe 60th Year Park course are listed as follows:
"Traffic flow from Turgut Özal Boulevard at the Küçükyalı traffic lights towards Bostancı will be cut off and diverted through the tunnel to Fahrettin Kerim Gökay Avenue. The section of Bağdat Avenue up to the intersection with Göztepe 60th Year Park Tütüncü Mehmet Efendi Street and the streets and avenues leading to this route, the section of Operatör Cemil Topuzlu Avenue from the intersection with Mahur Street towards Bostancı and all streets and avenues leading to this route, as well as the section of Çetin Emeç Boulevard from the intersection with Cemil Topuzlu Avenue to Turgut Özal Boulevard and all streets and avenues leading to this route will be closed."
It was noted that Fahrettin Kerim Gökay Avenue, Şemsettin Günaltay Avenue, and the D-100 highway can be used as alternative routes to the closed roads.
