Audi A8 question for Şimşek, who announced the Public Savings Package: 'Will he be able to tell Ali Erbaş to give it up?'

Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek announced the Public Savings Package at the Palace today.

One of the most notable savings measures in the package concerns the purchase and leasing of vehicles.

According to the package, no new vehicles will be purchased or leased for a period of 3 years. Vehicles that are surplus to requirements or have reached the end of their economic life will be liquidated.

With the announcement of the package, the mind immediately turned to Diyanet President Ali Erbaş, who has been in the headlines recently due to the official vehicles allocated to him.

Evaluating the savings package announced by Minister Şimşek on Sözcü TV, journalist Deniz Zeyrek used the phrase, "You have gone to all this trouble for nothing, Mr. Mehmet."

Continuing to react to the new package, Zeyrek added the following:

"Even without having any particular idea or opinion, I could have sat down the day before and written, 'These things will not be, these things will be.' Why did you bother, why did you read so much? 'I will take away staff shuttles, I will take away housing, I will use e-mail instead of paper...' I could write these myself."
